Privacy policy
Last updated October 25, 2026.
In short
- Everything you type into a calculator stays in your browser. It is never sent to us or anyone else.
- There are no accounts, no forms that store data, and no advertising or tracking cookies.
- We do not sell or share personal information, and we honor the Global Privacy Control signal.
- We count page views with cookieless analytics that run on our own server and do not identify you.
Who we are
M. Usman trading as SalaryHome, Gulberg 3, Lahore, Pakistan, operates www.salaryhome.com and is responsible for the personal information described here. Contact: [email protected].
What you enter in a calculator
All calculations run in your web browser with code that comes with the page. Your salary, deductions, home price, debts and any other figure you enter are not sent to our server or to any other service. When you copy a link to your results, the figures are written into the part of the web address after the "#". Browsers do not send that part to web servers, so it never appears in our logs; anyone you give the link to can see the figures in it. CSV, calendar and print downloads are also made in your browser; nothing is uploaded to create them.
What we store on your device
No cookies. Your browser's local storage holds only two choices, and only after you make them, on your device alone:
| Key | What it holds | When it is written |
|---|---|---|
shus-theme | Light or dark theme | When you pick a theme with the theme button |
shus-optout | Your opt-out of sale, sharing and targeted advertising | When you opt out on Your privacy choices |
Both stay until you clear your browser's site data. Neither is sent to us.
Analytics
We use Umami, an open-source analytics tool, hosted on our own server and served from this domain. It uses no cookies or local storage, does not build a profile of you and does not follow you to other sites. It records pages viewed, the referring site, browser and device type and country, in aggregate. It respects your browser's Do Not Track setting, and it ignores the part of the address that holds calculator figures.
Server logs
Our network provider, Cloudflare, and our web server keep short-lived technical logs, including IP addresses, to keep the site available and to stop abuse. We keep them for no more than 30 days and use them for nothing else.
If you email us, for example with Report a problem, we receive your address and whatever you write, including any figures you choose to include. We use them only to reply and to fix the problem, and delete the message within 12 months.
Advertising
We do not show ads. If we start, we will update this policy first and add the controls your state's law requires before any ad loads.
Your rights under US state privacy laws
California's Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, and the comprehensive privacy laws of other states give their residents rights over personal information a business holds about them. Whichever state you live in, we offer the same rights to everyone:
- to know what personal information we hold about you and to get a copy of it;
- to have it corrected or deleted;
- to opt out of its sale, of sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising and of targeted advertising, although we do none of these;
- not to be treated differently for using any of these rights.
In practice we usually hold nothing about visitors beyond short-lived server logs, and email if you have written to us. To make a request, email [email protected]. We may need to confirm the request comes from you, and we answer within 45 days. You can ask someone to act for you, with your written permission. If we turn a request down, you can appeal by replying to our answer; we will respond within 45 days, and if you are still not satisfied you can contact your state's attorney general.
Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of sale, sharing and targeted advertising for that browser, without any further step from you.
Categories, for California residents. In the past 12 months we collected only internet activity information (server logs) and identifiers and the contents of messages people chose to send by email. We did not sell or share any personal information, and we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information.
Children
SalaryHome is meant for adults managing their own money. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
When this policy changes, the date at the top changes too, and the change is listed in the changelog.
