October 2026

After launch

  • Cookieless page-view counts with Umami, run on our own server; the privacy policy describes what it records and what it ignores.
  • A refreshed SalaryHome design: new logo, colors, type and home page, with dark result panels on every calculator.

Launch

  • SalaryHome for the United States: 28 calculators for pay and tax, home buying and everyday money, with 2026 federal rules from IRS Publication 15-T and Revenue Procedure 2025-32.
  • Paycheck pages for all 50 states and the District of Columbia, each with its own withholding method, payroll levies and reciprocity rules, and pages for 19 cities and counties that tax wages.
  • Mortgage pages for all 50 states and the District of Columbia, with property tax for every county from the Census Bureau’s 2020-2024 American Community Survey.
  • Fifteen guides, a take-home pay by state research table with a downloadable CSV, and these trust pages.
  • State pages show the rate on the tax return next to the withholding rate wherever the two differ.
  • Paychecks in every state checked line by line against an independent payroll calculator; Idaho’s whole-dollar rounding, New Mexico’s workers’ compensation fee and Oregon’s Workers’ Benefit Fund were added as a result.
